Volunteering

There are opportunities for volunteers to assist in the activities supported by the Outlook Fund. Participation will be particularly welcome from students and employees at colleges and companies which have sponsored the Outlook Fund.

Volunteering opportunities through Cambridgeshire County Council

Volunteers wishing to help the Just Us Groups for looked after children, run by Cambridgeshire County Council, will need to have:

- an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Check
- two character references, one from an employer/tutor
- child protection training, which would be provided by the County Council

Volunteers will need to make a commitment for at least one year to attending monthly meetings, plus helping with the Christmas parties and the annual Award ceremony. The groups are divided into Junior and Senior and meet on mid-week evenings at locations around the County .

For anyone interested in volunteering with Just Us groups the best people to contact are either Michelle Dean 01223 703581 or Mary Ogden 01223 703592.
