The Outlook Fund
Activities
The Outlook Fund is a new charitable venture working to improve the lives of
disadvantaged Cambridgeshire children, with a focus on the 400 looked after
children. Outlook Fund money will pay for activities that help these
children engage with the community, gain self confidence, and succeed at school.
Here are some examples:

Fun Days.
Money to transport the Grafham Water portable climbing wall can make all the
difference to the annual Fun Day.

London
Museums. Many looked after children have never been to a London museum.
Money for rail tickets can make it happen.

Grafham Water
& Mepal . Outlook Fund money can pay for great days at Grafham Water and at
Mepal Outdoor Centre.

Art Workshops.
Money for transport can get children to free art workshops at the Fitzwilliam
Museum and at Kettle's Yard.

Wandlebury.
Wandlebury Country Park can arrange countryside and woodland days for the Just
Us Groups of looked after children.

Youth Theatre.
Fenland Arts Summer Youth Theatre is a fun week making a performance from
scratch. Cost per child: £60.

Duke of
Edinburgh Awards. These awards are great confidence builders, and help in
job applications. But it costs money to take part.
The Outlook Fund works to improve the lives of Cambridgeshire children facing difficulty and disadvantage, with a focus on the more than 400 looked after children.
The Outlook Fund is administered by the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation.
